COVID-19 UPDATES

SMART is continuing to provide transportation to clients while monitoring the current situation with Covid-19. To ensure we are providing the safest environment for staff and riders, the following is effective immediately.

Clients are required to wear masks at all times while in our vehicles. Clients and attendants will be required to ride as far from the driver as possible.

Drivers are completing a Covid-19 Self-Assessment form at beginning of each work day.

Vehicles are being cleaned and sanitized between every client trip. Please sanitize your hands before entering vehicle, hand sanitizer is also available in vehicles.

When calling to book transportation clients will be required to answer the following questions:

Have you developed a fever or cough?

Are you experiencing respiratory issues?

Have you been in contact with anyone who has contracted Covid-19?

Drivers will also call client on day of trip to ask the same assessment questions, and to confirm the ride is still needed.

There will only be a single client (and attendant) per vehicle unless the multiple clients are coming from the same LTC facility and going to the same destination.

SMART will not transport Covid-19 positive clients.
